XVI International Congress on Infectious Diseases
On March 25-27, 2024, the XVI International Congress on Infectious Diseases was held in Moscow, which was attended by the head of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Dermatovenerology Abuova Gulzhan Narkenovna, acting associate professor of the department Berdalieva Farida Abdullayevna and resident of the 1st year of study Bektan Bekzhan. The Congress discussed the most relevant infectious diseases in the world, Russia, and Central Asia, issues of their diagnosis, treatment, and prevention, current threats, and the epidemiological well-being of countries. The staff of the department made reports on zoonotic infections relevant in Kazakhstan, Congo-Crimean hemorrhagic fever, measles in pregnant women. At the competition of young scientists among more than 50 participants from 6 countries, resident infectious disease specialist Bektan Bekzhan took the honorable 3rd place and was awarded a Diploma.
