Actual issues of epileptology

The Department of «Neurology, Psychiatry, Rehabilitology and Neurosurgery» held a meeting of the Neurological Society at the Aidana Plaza Hotel on March 3, 2023. Head of the department, Professor Zharkinbekova N.A. made a report: "Epilepsy in South Kazakhstan, tactics of management and prognosis of the first epileptic seizure." The topic of the report "West syndrome in children" was made by the assistant of the department Esetova A.A.
A team of Professor Shashkin Ch.S. arrived from Almaty and made presentations on the topic: «Surgical treatment of epilepsy», «Methods for selecting patients for surgical treatment», «Types of neurosurgical operations for epilepsy. Indications and outcomes».
Neurologist at OKB Barat Zh.M. made a presentation: «Problems of multiple sclerosis».
At this meeting, were discussed questions about advanced training cycles, about categories, the standards of neurological care, about the office of Multiple Sclerosis, about initiating the opening of the «Neurologist Club», about analyzing interesting clinical cases, presenting interesting topics, and organizing the work of the «School of Stroke».
The meeting was attended by doctors of practical health care of the Turkestan region and doctors of Shymkent city, resident neurologists of the 1st and 2nd courses, and assistants of the Department of Neurology.
