XXIII-th Scientific and practical conference with international participation "ACTUAL PROBLEMS OF CLINICAL, EXPERIMENTAL NEUROLOGY, NEUROSURGERY, NEUROPHYSIOLOGY"

On May 27-28, 2022, the XXIII-th scientific and practical conference with international participation "Actual problems of clinical, experimental neurology, neurosurgery, neurophysiology" was held. The conference was organized by the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D.Asfendiyarov, the Association of Neurologists of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Department of Nervous Diseases with the information support of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the University of Almaty.
The conference was an opportunity to compare priorities and determine the main tasks for the near future in terms of one of the most important areas for healthcare in Kazakhstan – Neurology.
Candidate of Medical Sciences, Professor and Head of the Department of Neurology, Psychiatry and Psychology of JSC "SKMA" N.A.Zharkinbekova made a report at the plenary session on "The possibilities of improving the first line of therapy for multiple sclerosis". The plenary presentations were also attended by leading specialists in the field of neurology and neurosurgery from various regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation and Kyrgyzstan.
The section "Young scientist" was attended by resident doctors of the 1st year of study in the specialty "Adult, children's Neurology" of the Department of Neurology, Psychiatry and Psychology of JSC "SKMA". Askarova A., Yerkebaev N. made a report "Comorbidity of multiple sclerosis with psoriasis, pathogenetic aspects of development, literature review and case study" and became holders of diplomas of the first degree, and with a report on the topic: "Features of the course of pregnancy and childbirth in women with Pompe disease. A literary review and a case from practice" was performed by Alieva A.Sh. and became the holder of a Diploma of the III degree. The section presented reports from three countries (Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan), more than 8 medical institutions, various levels of medical education: students, interns, masters, residents, doctoral students.
At the end of the work of the section, the jury presented the results of the competition. After awarding diplomas, Bekmurat Nametovich Raimkulov congratulated all the contestants and wished to continue research and analysis of clinical cases.
