The Sustainable Development Goals
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), approved by the United Nations member states in 2015, are a call for all countries to take urgent measures in the spirit of Global Partnership. The Sustainable Development Goals recognize that addressing poverty and other problems must be closely linked to strategies to improve health and education, reduce inequality, and promote economic growth, while addressing the problem of climate change and its consequences.
Until 2030, 17 main directions have been selected, the implementation of which can lead the country to the sustainable development of all key areas of life and the solution of global problems that concern every person in this world.
The process of implementing and achieving the SDGs is under constant monitoring both by the UN representatives and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
SKMA JSC seeks to contribute to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, integrating them into all processes in the Academy. Such as education, scientific activities, medical services, economic growth and resource management.
SKMA JSC strives to achieve its economic, social and environmental goals within the framework of sustainable development in the long term.
Economic aspects of Sustainable Development direct the activities of SKMA JSC to long-term value growth, to increase the efficiency of South Kazakhstan Medical Academy Joint Stock Company, to increase the efficiency of processes, to increase investment in the creation and development of new technologies, to increase labor productivity.
Social aspects of sustainable development focus the activities of SKMA JSC on ensuring occupational safety, fair remuneration and respect for the rights of employees, personal development of personnel, creation of new jobs, sponsorship and charity, and the provision of quality services.
Environmental aspects of Sustainable Development focuses the activities of SKMA JSC on ensuring the minimization of the impact on biological and physical natural systems, the use of environmental, energy-saving technologies, processing and disposal of waste.
Tasks of SKMA JSC in the field of Sustainable Development:
1. Implementation of the principles of Sustainable Development in the activities of the University;
2. Analysis of activities and risk control in the context of the three components of Sustainable Development;
3. Creation of mechanisms for effective interaction of SKMA JSC with stakeholders, including constant awareness of the results of activities in the field of Sustainable Development.
