World skills Regional Championship Report

From 17.04 to 21.04.2023, by order of the Department of Education of the city of Shymkent, the regional championship "World skills Shymkent-2023" on the competence "Medical and social care" was held. The regional championship "World skills Shymkent-2023" was held among students of medical colleges of the city of Shymkent in order to improve their skills in the specialty "Nursing".

A 2nd-year student of the SMIKB group took part from the medical college at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy-11-02-21 specialty "Nursing", qualification "Applied Bachelor of Nursing" Ibragimova Zukhra Sabirzhanovna. The teacher of the Department of "Nursing" Abdigani Altynai Nurbekovna was appointed to prepare the student for the competition. The teacher was also included among the of the Regional Championship.

The regional championship "World skills Shymkent-2023 on competence" "Medical and social care" was held in 3 modules:
Module A. Patient care in the postoperative period in a hospital setting.
Module B. Counseling of a patient with bronchial asthma in a day hospital.
Module C. Patronage of a patient with oncology at home.
According to the tasks in the modules, the contestants demonstrated theoretical knowledge and practical skills, the experts evaluated the checklist and summed up the results.

Student IbragimovaZukhraSabirzhanovna took 3rd place and became the bronze medalist.
