Workshop on “Increasing the capacity of teachers of 7th semester in the applied bachelor’s program and the 3rd semester of accelerated program of applied bachelor’s degree in Nursing on the basis of a competence approach”.
From January 29 to February 2, 2018 on the basis of the State communal enterprise on the right of economic management “High medical college of Akimat in Astana city” a workshop “Increasing the capacity of teachers of 7th semester in the applied bachelor’s program in Nursing on the basis of a competence approach was conducted for teachers of higher medical colleges working under the applied bachelor’s degree program in Nursing.
From 5 to 9 February, 2018 on the basis of the State communal enterprise on the right economic management “High medical college of Akimat in Astana city” a workshop “Increasing the capacity of teachers of 3rd semester of the applied bachelor’s degree program in Nursing on the basis of competence approach” (1,5 year) was conducted for teachers of higher medical colleges working under the applied bachelor’s degree program in Nursing.
Teachers of the Department of Nursing and Emergency B.D. Serikova and N.M. Taigasheva took part in the workshop.
The seminar was conducted by an expert on the modernization of the training system, MSc (Health), registered nurse, senior lecturer at Lahti University of Applied Sciences Päivi Saares and the expert for the modernization of academic programs for nurses, Master of Medical Science, registered nurse, senior lecturer at University of Applied Sciences JAMK (Finland) Hannele Tyrväinen,
The seminar was attended by representatives of following colleges: High medical college of Akimat in Astana city, The Republican medical college in Almaty, The Western Kazakhstan higher medical college, Turkestan multidisciplinary medical college, Karaganda medical college, Kokshetau medical college, Pavlodar medical college of higher education, D. Kalmatayev state medical college of Semey city.
The seminar consisted of the following sections:
- Writing a course work, preliminary defence
- Development of nursing skills in elective specialties
- Module “Management and evidence-based nursing care”
- Specialized nursing care and evidence-based practice
- Personnel management in Nursing
In the end all participants of the seminar received a certificate from the University of Applied Sciences JAMK (Finland).
