Visiting Professor Nurguzhaev Yerkin Smagulovich

On January 13, 2023, a round table was organized at the Silk way restaurant with the participation of Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Nervous Diseases of the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, Almaty, Chairman of the NGO "Association" Nurguzhaev Erkyn Smagulovich. The opening speech was given to the professor of the Department of Neurology, Psychiatry, Rehabilitology and Neurosurgery Zharkinbekova N.A. The round table was attended by assistants of the Department of Neurology, Psychiatry, Rehabilitology and Neurosurgery Esetova A.A., Muminova R.K., Amanova E.O., residents of 1-2 years of study of the SKMA, neurologists of practical health care.

Professor Nurguzhaev E.S. made a presentation on the theme "New possibilities of pathogenetic therapy of back pain". Neuropathic pain is a type of pain that, unlike ordinary pain, does not arise as a result of a reaction to physical injury, but as a result of pathological excitation of neurons in the peripheral or central nervous system responsible for the reaction to physical injury of the body (normal pain).
The professor noted that pain can develop after damage to the nervous system at any level, peripheral or central, and also due to the involvement of the sympathetic nervous system in the process, leading to sympathetic pain.
At this event, issues of modern diagnostics and tactics of treating dorsopathies in patients were discussed.
