Videoconference on the communicative platform G-Global on the topic "Internationalization of continuous medical education: trends, a look into the future"

The Department of Pharmacology, Pharmacotherapy and Clinical Pharmacology took part in the interuniversity online conference held on April 26, 2018. in the mode of a video call on the communicative platform G-Global on the topic "Internationalization of continuous medical education: trends, a look into the future".

The conference was attended by representatives of medical universities: “MUA” JSC (Astana), WKSMU (Aktobe), KSMU (Karaganda), SKMA (Shymkent), KazNMU (Almaty), SMU (Semei) , as well as representatives of the companies LLP "SOMNIUM" and "Samsung".

The report was made by the head of the Department of Pharmacology, Pharmacotherapy and Clinical Pharmacology of SKMA, Prof. K.A. Kerimbayeva. on the topic "Online checkers of drug interactions as a tool for teaching safe pharmacotherapy". The report provided scientifically based evidence-based methods of combating polypharmacy, prevention of undesirable side effects associated with inter-drug interactions, and optimization of pharmacotherapy. 

Initiative reports were made by the head of the DEBM, associate professor K.E. Akhmadiyeva on the topic "Introduction of information technologies in the educational process of SKMA"; the head of the department GP-2 assistant of the department A.A. Esetova on the topic "Evidence-based medicine in the practice of GP doctor".

The introduction of innovative electronic methods of teaching in the educational process and practical health care will help to avoid a lot of mistakes, make easier physician’s work and keep pace with the times.
