She spoke about the main syndromes of cardiac and respiratory failure in children, principles and stages of cardiopulmonary resuscitation of newborns, introduced students to the ongoing complex of therapeutic measures aimed at restoring adequate blood circulation to organs and tissues and ventilation of the lungs, and emphasized the need for doctors to work in a team, since the outcome for the patient largely depends on their coordinated activities.

Some students tried to independently carry out resuscitation measures and were convinced that the outcome of a child’s life depends on the provision of high-quality, timely emergency care, so practicing special skills (assessing the condition of a newborn, calculating HR, RR, performing chest compressions, administering and diluting adrenaline, inserting a gastric tube, aspiration catheter, catheterization of the umbilical vein), studying the algorithm for carrying out in accordance with the clinical guideline for diagnosis and treatment №74 “Resuscitation of newborn children” approved by Ministry of Healthcare of Republic of Kazakhstan 2019 and the formation of appropriate competencies are mandatory for each student.
