The theme of a round table : "The best way of spiritual rebirth is the greatness of Abai"

On March 11, 2020, the Department of Pharmacology, Pharmacotherapy and Clinical Pharmacology held a round table dedicated to the anniversary of Abay Kunanbayev. This year marks the 175th anniversary of the poet. Large-scale events are held across the country at the national and international levels.

The year of Abay is the time of formation of the correct system of values in society, which is based on patriotism, industriousness, education, justice and constant work on oneself.

The philosophy of Abay has become an integral part of the culture and national identity of our people. He was ahead of his time and formulated a system of views that, in difficult periods, united people around the national values of their native language and culture. The first President of Kazakhstan has repeatedly emphasized that Abay’s deep thoughts and revelations should form the basis of our daily affairs. This will be a proof of fidelity to the wise covenants and awareness of the duty to the memory of the teacher of the nation. Today, Kazakhstan is implementing its own modernization agenda, which completely echoes the poet's ideas.

For this purpose, a round table was held on the theme: "The best way of spiritual rebirth is the greatness of Abai". The invited guests attended the round table: Kabylbek Turetai, member of the community of writers and journalists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, holder of the Order of Respect, Yskak Begman, professor of the International Humanitarian Technical University, writer, journalist, Kural Komek laureat of the Fizuli international award, and faculty, students and undergraduates of the Department of Pharmacology, Pharmacotherapy and Clinical Pharmacology.

Together with the guests, students discussed the world of Abay, which is not only the infinite height of poetry, but also a wonderful example of philosophical thinking. His art and teaching are a wonderful legacy for future generations.

At the end, students shared their thoughts on the words of Abay’s edification, interesting facts from his life, touched upon the need to form the right moral values in future generations. Poems and songs of Abai were performed.

The guests expressed wishes and recommendations about the need to pass from generation to generation our great heritage, the heritage of Abay Kunanbaev.
