The second day at the Department of Pharmacology, Pharmacotherapy and Clinical Pharmacology, events dedicated to the Day of Kazakhstan Science are being held!

Within five days, students, interns will be provided with information on the latest achievements in the field of drug development.

On the first day, students were interested in learning about modern achievements in pharmacology - targeted therapy, genetically modified drugs, biosimilars. Research areas in clinical pharmacology were presented: pharmacovigilance, pharmacogenetics, adverse drug reactions, drug interactions, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics.

On the second day, achievements in the field of development and application of advanced therapy medicines - genomic technologies, cell technologies were presented.

What prospects await us in the future, what global threats indicate to us the need to look for new ways to combat non-communicable diseases, antibiotic resistance, and prevent the development of new pandemics.
The lectures were attended by the third-year students of educational programs in medicine, pediatrics, pharmacy, fifth-year students, interns, young doctors and pharmacists of the department.

Next, we are waiting for reports on the experience in the drug discovery and development at the universities around the world and speeches by master's students on research in the field of therapy for coronavirus infection, breast cancer, prevention of childhood dental diseases, and the development of drugs from medicinal plant materials.
