“The role of practice in training public health professionals”

On December 12, 2015 the teaching staff of the Departments of “Public Health-1” and “Public Health-2” organized a methodical conferenceunder the title “The role of practice in training public health professionals” on the results of medical faculty students’ practical training.

The purpose of this conference was the summing up of practical training at clinical bases. Presentations were in three languages: Kazakh, Russian and English. The visitors from practical bases took an active part in the conference: Z.A. Ruzmetov, deputy director of the center of healthy lifestyle formation; S.K. Karibayeva, deputy head doctor of the city polyclinic; K.Sh. Ismailova, principal chief nurse of the regional cardiac surgery center; M. Bisebayeva, principal chief nurse of the center of ambulatory surgery and traumatology.

 The purpose and objectives of practical training were students’ practical work experience; reinforcement of learning, extension, deepening and systematization of knowledge; development of students’ personal qualities; ability to work in a team.

At the end of this event the representatives of practical bases were awarded letters of thanks and the best speakers were awarded diplomas.
