The role and place of pharmacology in the preparation of healthcare professionals: challenges of the time and the ways of their solution

On September 30 - October 1, 2016 in S.D. Asfendiyarov KazNMU there was held an international conference "The role and place of pharmacology in the preparation of healthcare professionals: challenges of the time and the ways of their solution", which gathered specialists from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Lithuania, New Zealand, Hungary.

Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy Department of SKSPhA took part in the conference with the report "The role and importance of Pharmacology in the training of healthcare professionals." Experience of specialists training at various levels in higher education institution and the main development trends were reflected in the report.

Conference resolution was adopted which stated that it is necessary to update the study programmes for basic and clinical pharmacology, to improve the methodology of the educational process and teaching methods of disciplines, to comply with the continuity in learning.

In addition, the participants were awarded certificates.
