The LMQS Erasmus+ project’s International training seminar at the University of Western Attica (Greece)

From May 23 to 27, 2022, an international training seminar was held in Athens (Greece) within the framework of the LMQS ERASMUS+ project on the development and improvement of educational programs in the field of strategic management and risk management in healthcare. The training was conducted. The event was attended by members of the working group from partner universities of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. The project coordinator, Professor Panos Yannakopoulos, held an introductory meeting and told about the program for the week.
Tutors and advisors at the training were professors and associate professors of various departments of the University of Western Attica (Greece): Panos Yannakopoulos, Anastasia Barbouni, Nikolaos Maniadakis, Vasiliki Gkioka, George Kulierakis, Areti Stavropoulou and George Vasilopoulos.
From the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, Sarsenbaeva Gulzat Zhanabaevna and Magai Lyubov Nikolaevna (Department of Social Health Insurance and Public Health), Ibragimova Aigul Gaffarovna (Department of Pharmacology, Pharmacotherapy and Clinical Pharmacology) participated in the international training seminar.
Together with foreign partners, the features of the educational model of the Bologna process, the educational process at the University of Western Attica were analyzed in detail, the School of Public Health of the University of Western Attica was familiarized with, laboratories and libraries were visited. The training was conducted in the form of discussions, case studies, and a question-and-answer format. Tutors and advisors informed about the procedure for approving postgraduate education programs, told about the quality policy and the application of risk management and quality management in public health. During the training, they got acquainted with the tools for communication and project management, as well as during the discussions they touched upon the issues of disciplines and final learning outcomes.
The completion of the international training seminar was the improvement of the skills of critical analysis and evaluation, project training and quality management of the healthcare system among the members of the working group of all partner universities.
