The joint responsibility of the university and employers in the preparation of medical and pharmaceutical personnel
For the JSC “South Kazakhstan Medical Academy”, the year 2018 became a significant stage in the nearly forty-year history of its development. A new educational level of personnel training has been opened for the pharmaceutical industry of the doctoral PhD.
At the same time, in the higher and postgraduate education in 2018, modernization was started in the development of educational programs.
Expanding the range of educational services. Annually in the country, “round tables” are held with the participation of practical medicine and pharmacy for the development of popular programs and employers of educational programs, discussion of competencies and learning outcomes of graduates.
In the 2018-2019 academic year, “round tables” - meetings with employers were held in a new format. In the period from January 14 to January 25, 7 special courses of bachelor's, internship, special residency were held separately by “round tables”, in which 56 representatives of practical medicine and pharmacy took part.
Training in clinical specialties devoted to clinical research and research in the field of health care and medical institutions, empowerment of specialists and specialists in the field of otolaryngology, ophthalmology, clinical pharmacology. The region is experiencing an acute shortage of pediatric doctors of a narrow focus of activity - pediatric cardiac surgeons, pediatric ENT doctors, rheumatologists, oncohematologists, gastroenetrologists, etc.
Stormy discussion has raised questions about the training of general practitioners. Primary health care representatives provide an increase in the number of continuous practical training in clinics to 4-6 months.
The role of representatives of nursing clinics of the city of Shymkent. Positive words addressed to the Academy about high-performance nursing education in applied and academic baccalaureate. More than 20 representatives of the nursing profession participated in the round table. Modern health care needs nursing work, as well as a high level of competence manager, researcher, organizer.
The dental service focuses on the fact that the academy has trained dentists for rural areas, where there is an acute shortage of qualified dentists. Child dentistry is relevant.
The results of the discussion at the round tables were objective, positive, they make adjustments to the training of personnel, to the content of educational programs. Development strategies and goals are one of the motivating factors for improvement.
