The competition on the theme: “Continuous use of headphones can lead to hearing loss”

On December 2, 2015 at the academy hall there was held a competition on the theme “Continuous use of headphones can lead to hearing loss” organized by Youth Health Center with the participation of departments and students.

The event aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and prevention of hearing loss among young people, connected with widespread use of headphones.

The Department “Therapy of bachelor’s degree” took the I-st place, the II-nd place was taken by the Department “Public Health-2” and the Departments “Hygiene – 1” and “Hygiene – 2” divided the III-rd  place.

The competition in the form of flashmobs, videos, sketches clearly demonstrated harm and benefit of headphones and various ways of preventing accidents and hearing loss from their use.

The competition was held at a high level. At the end of the event jury members summarized the results. B.O. Torlanova, a chairman of the jury and A.K. Zhiyen, the head of Youth Health Center announced the winners and all the participants were awarded certificates and gifts.
