Study in Nazarbayev University

From 11 to 22 September, 2017  Nazarbayev University organized advanced training courses for employees of Kazakhstani medical universities. On behalf of SKSPhA took part Khaliya Alikhanova, acting Professor at the Department of pharmacognosy and chemistry and Sarah Yeskerova, acting associate Professor of the Department “Hygiene”. Program participants listened to lectures on the management, quality assurance training, research activities, funding, planning, budget performance and risk management at the university. Lecturers were Ilesanmi Adesida and Loretta O’Donnell, Provosts of the Nazarbayev University, Anar Uteshova, Director of Finance Department of the MES, Sandro Vento, medical Director of Corporate Fund “University Medical Center” and other leaders and specialists from different units of the Nazarbayev University, MES RK, MOH RK.

 Among the more specialized topics – “Comparing health systems in Asia: reforms in the field of health in Kazakhstan”.  Lecture was conducted by Phua Kai Hong, associate Professor NUGSPP; “Reforms in the system of nurses training” - lecturer Nancy Stitt , Director of programs and Paolo Colette, associate Professor of NUSOM.

The course organized by the Graduate School of Education and Graduate School of Medicine in Nazarbayev University has a diverse programme from a large number of other relevant topics.

As our participants noted, advanced training courses provide the opportunity for improvement in various areas and are an excellent platform for professional experience exchange.
