STUDENTS FROM THE I.K. AKHUNBAYEV KYRGYZ STATE MEDICAL ACADEMY IN THE KAZKASU

From June 5 to June 16 2023, within the framework of academic mobility in the discipline "Pharmacognosy" 3rd year students of the educational program "Pharmacy" of the I.K. Akhunbayev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy completed practice at the educational and professional base for collection and processing of medicinal plants, located in the village of Keregetas, Tolebi district, Kaskasu under the supervison of the practice supervisor Perizat Uralieva.

Before the start of the training practice, the students were familiarized with the safety rules during work in the field. Students received daily tasks, studied the methodology of work and filled in practice diaries.

Guests from Kyrgyzstan acquainted with medicinal plants of the local flora, students of KSMA together with students of the SKMA collected, dried and herbarized the collected medicinal plants. Raw materials were harvested taking into account the rational use of resources, methods were used to determine the reserves of wild medicinal plants in this region using the example of herbaceous, woody and shrubby plants. The students took a scientific approach to the protection and rational use of natural plant resources of Kazakhstan.

After completing the internship, KSMA students demonstrated their knowledge and skills by successfully passing the differential test.

Students from the I.K. Akhunbayev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy impressed by the rich flora of the region and expressed their gratitude to the heads of the Department of Pharmacognosy of the SKMA and the leadership of the academy.
