SKSPhA SIGHNED THE GREAT CHARTER OF UNIVERSITIES IN BOLOGNA (ITALY)

South-Kazakhstan State Pharmaceutical Academy has recently entered into the top of 20 universities in Europe, meeting the requirements of the Great Charter of Universities. Rector, MD, Professor B.D. Seksenbayev signed the “Magna-Charta” and thus, confirmed the membership of SKSPhA in academic commonwealth, guided by the principles of university traditions, overcoming  political and social barriers to ensure high-quality education and training to future generations that would help them to take good care of environment and life itself.

Kazakhstan joined the Bologna process in 2010. The main document defining the strategy for the development of the Bologna process is Convention “On recognition of qualifications concerning higher education in European region”, which was released by UNESCO in Lisbon in April 1997. This suggests additional opportunities for participation of Kazakhstan universities in projects funded by European Commission, and students and teachers of higher educational institutions for academic exchanges with universities of European countries.

The Bologna Declaration was officially recognized and received the support of many prestigious universities in the USA, Latin America, China, Japan, Australia, South-East Asia.

Traditionally, in September, Rectors of universities signed the Great Charter of Universities, or in other words “Magna Charta”, visit the oldest university in Europe - Bologna, for annual conference to discuss the development of education in a rapidly changing world.

We remind you that since September 2001 there was established a supervisory council, which is annually entitled to give a right to twenty best universities of the world to sign such a significant document.

Vice Rector for organizational and personnel work of SKSPhA, MD, Professor B.K. Makhatov took part in the signing ceremony.  

Teaching staff of SKSPhA today is working on 20 scientific and technological projects, more than 150 scientists and teachers are involved in research work at the departments, laboratories for genomic research and the study of medicinal plants vegetating in the south of Kazakhstan are functioning in educational institution.
