Seminar-meeting initiated by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dedicated to Post-Covid Syndrome

On April 13, 2023, a Seminar-meeting initiated by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dedicated to the Post-Covid Syndrome, began its work in the SKMA. The seminar was attended by the chief freelance infectious disease specialist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Kosherova B.N., Rector of the SKMA, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Rysbekov M.M., representatives of the Health Department of Shymkent, chief freelance specialists: cardiologist, endocrinologist, psychiatrist, rehabilitation specialist, as well as the teaching staff of the SKMA, PHC doctors, interns. At the seminar, the latest scientific data on the prevalence of post-covid syndrome, its various clinical manifestations were presented, achievements were reported and problematic issues were raised in the cardiological, pulmonological, endocrinological, and psychiatric services. Particular attention was paid to the rehabilitation of patients who had a coronavirus infection COVID-19, but retained residual effects that significantly reduce the quality of life of patients.

The seminar will continue its work in the rehabilitation centers of the city of Shymkent. In her closing remarks, Professor Kosherova B.N. highly appreciated the event and wished further scientific and practical development of the problem of Post-Covid Syndrome.
