Seminar "Innovative educational programs: experience in development and implementation"

From September 14 to 17, 2022, a methodological seminar "Innovative educational programs: development and implementation experience" was held at Toraigyrov University in Pavlodar. It was organized by the Center for the Bologna Process and Academic Mobility of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Toraigyrov University and BTS Education LLP. The seminar was attended by the heads of the departments: "Pharmacology, pharmacotherapy and clinical pharmacology" Ph.D., ass. Professor Toksanbayeva Zhanat Sadebekovna, "Emergency Medical Care and Nursing" Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Seidakhmetova Aizat Ashimkhanovna.

The four-day intensive brought together 130 representatives of the higher education system from all over Kazakhstan. The seminar program included: an expert session on strategic changes in education, a round table "The role of education in the strategic development of Kazakhstan", an interactive session "Strategic values in the development of educational programs", a practice-oriented session on developing the goal and learning outcomes of innovative educational programs ( group work), a practical session on the development and analysis of the content of an innovative educational program, descriptions of academic disciplines of innovative educational programs.
During the seminar, it was emphasized that universities need to learn how to develop innovative educational programs and implement them in the educational process, new developments should correspond to the regional characteristics of universities and their mission.

Developers shared their experience in developing innovative educational programs during a methodological seminar. At the dialogue platform during the expert session, ways to solve several problems that are relevant for Kazakhstani universities were proposed.
Practice-oriented and interactive sessions were aimed at teaching the skills to develop innovative educational programs. Participants of the dialogue platform presented their projects developed in teams. Each group presented the university, its strategy and mission, learning outcomes, which determine what the educational program should be like. The participants practiced their skills in developing and implementing innovative educational programs.

ToU rector Yerkin Sadykov thanked the heads of all universities who sent their employees to the seminar, noted that universities must meet the level of the younger generation's demand for higher education, each university must respond to the problems of its region, it is important to continue to share experience with each other. Further cooperation will certainly be continued. Summing up the results of the seminar ended with the presentation of certificates.
