Seminar «Ensuring safety in the organization and conduct of work in laboratories»

In order to improve educational and methodological work in the 2023-2024 academic year in the practical direction, the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology, together with employers, held a seminar on January 18, 2024 on the topic: «Ensuring safety in the organization and conduct of work in laboratories». The moderator of the seminar was the head of the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology, doctor of medical sciences, Professor Seitkhanova Bibigul Tоlegenovna.
Kaldygul Dzhapparovna Kulzhanova, Head of the bacteriological laboratory of the City Infectious Diseases Hospital, spoke at the seminar as a speaker on the topic: «Ensuring the requirements of biological safety when working with microorganisms in the bacteriological laboratory». Evelina Alekseevna Menyakina, a laboratory assistant at the diagnostic laboratory, spoke from the Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS on the topic: «General issues of biosafety and biosecurity». Tatyana Sergeevna Shishkina, who is the head of the Museum of Living Cultures of the Shymkent anti-plague station, made her presentation on the topic: «Fundamentals of biological biosafety in a microbiological laboratory». The head of the plague laboratory of the Shymkent anti-plague station Shaimerdenova Botakoz Yeralievna spoke on the topic: «Biological safety in the organization and conduct of work in the laboratory of the OOI». Senior lecturer of the Department of Biology and Biochemistry of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy Beisebayeva Lyazzat Mukhtarovna made a presentation: «Biosafety. Relevance» and senior lecturer of the Department of Biology and Biochemistry, researcher at the laboratory of SC&GL Azhibaeva-Kupenova Dana Tynyshbekovna made a presentation on «Ensuring safety in the workplace PCR box in the diagnosis of HBV and HCV».

As a guest, the seminar was attended by the head of the Shymkent anti-plague station Ratbek Sailaubekuly, specialists of the City Infectious Diseases Hospital, clinical diagnostic laboratory Kultasova R. I. and Esnazarova S. M., deputy head of the educational and methodological center Bergalieva R. N., head of the methodological department Rasheva B. M., chairman of the CPC «Medico-preventive business», Ph.D., acting Associate Professor S. U. Eskerov .
The seminar guests shared their impressions and wishes to the staff of the department. It was noted that a lot of information was received from the reports, and also that in the future there would be more such events at the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology.
