Scientific competition of knowledge of interns

In the autumn semester of the 2022-2023 academic year, 44 groups of General Practitioners passed through the Department of Infectious Diseases and Dermatovenerology of the JSC "SKMA". During the training of interns in  POE (project-oriented education), 4 scientific conferences were held. On December 23, 2022, a scientific knowledge contest was organized for the first time with groups 41,42,43,44-22 of the GP.
The contest of knowledge was solemnly opened by the head of the department, PhD, Prof. G.N.Abuova. Interns of 41,43-22 groups made a report on the topic "Epidemiological situation in the world and in Kazakhstan on acute respiratory viral infections", and made a report submitted to the author's certificate on the topic "Syndrome algorithm for differential diagnosis of infectious diseases".
The competition consisted of the following nominations: team greeting, video presentation, emblem protection, knowledge tree, quiz, captains competition, team competition (solving a situational problem), video pathogenesis, questions from teachers, creative competition.  The question of the pathogenesis video for finding the pathogen and the type of infectious disease compiled by internam doctors, the performance of the "Uzbek" caused admiration and delight among the participants and members of the jury.
The competition combined the methods of scientific leadership and competition, clinical and experimental education.
Interns in the competition were able to fully apply their knowledge in practical classes, independent work of an intern with a teacher in the discipline "Infectious diseases", clinical work in departments, skills in the CPN, knowledge gained in a scientific circle.
Following the results of the competition, the participants were awarded diplomas and prizes.
In the future, we also strive to improve the quality of education by improving the method of competitive education based on science.
