Russian-Kazakhstan educational program of double diploma as an indicator of the internationalization of education
Currently, various ideas of international cooperation in the field of education are called upon to form in the process of learning the global competence of students necessary for successful work in a globalizing society. The internationalization of education includes various formats of international interaction that affect not only educational activities, but also research.
In this regard, it is timely developed by the efforts of the teaching staff of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy (SKMA) and the First Moscow State Medical University by I. M. Sechenov (Sechenov University) educational program of a double diploma in the profile "Pharmaceutical Ecology" at the level of the scientific and pedagogical direction of the master's program.
Institute of Pharmacy. A.P. Nelyubin of Sechenov University, headed by Professor G.V. Ramenskaya, is a long-term strategic partner of SKMA. To date, cooperation with one of the leading educational organizations of the Russian Federation is carried out within the framework of academic mobility of teachers, internships for students, scientific internships for undergraduates, scientific and methodological work to develop joint educational programs and teaching aids, conducting joint scientific and practical forums, etc.
The current pace of development of pharmaceutical production and the increased pace of implementation of innovative developments, as well as the need to diversify training, require the education system to more rapidly incorporate new ideas and technologies into education. One of these modern trends in the education system is joint educational programs.
For the inhabitants of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as for our entire planet, global warming, the emergence of ozone holes above the poles, the widespread distribution of toxicants and the pollution of water, air, soil, food with harmful chemicals, the extinction of many plant species have become a reality. and animals, the decline in biodiversity as a result of the activities of the growing population of the planet.
“Pollution of the natural environment with pharmaceutical production waste, which causes degradation of the environment and damages the health of the population, is an acute environmental problem of priority social and economic importance. Therefore, the choice of the direction of training specialists - masters in the field of pharmaceutical ecology is not accidental. Thus, the harmonized educational program will make it possible to train highly qualified specialists in the field of pharmaceutical ecology, the need for which is growing with the development of the pharmaceutical industry in the EAEU countries” - noted Professor Ordabayeva S.K., Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry of the SKMA.
The unified educational program includes a university component and an elective component (elective disciplines), which will allow future specialists in the field of pharmaceutical ecology to gain knowledge in such topical areas as environmental safety and sustainable development, restoration and development of the raw material base of medicinal plants , the development of innovative medicines on its basis, as well as to form the competence of a research scientist in the related field of pharmaceutical and environmental science.
Taking into account the peculiarities of the national systems of higher education in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, when developing a double degree program, both universities discussed and approved such issues as the place, forms, terms of training and control of knowledge and skills of undergraduates, re-credits of educational achievements and credits, defense of a master's thesis, financial matters, etc.
“The new program is designed for the academic mobility of masters - they will master part of the program at a partner university, which will provide an opportunity for intercultural communication and communication. The bases of the research practice of undergraduates will be the leading pharmaceutical enterprises of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan. It should be noted that joint programs are a recognized tool for improving the competitiveness of universities”- emphasized Akhmetova A.A., Head of the Department of Strategic Development and International Cooperation of the SKMA.
The educational program "Pharmaceutical Ecology" has already been highly appreciated by experts due to its content and structure: in the Russian Federation, it became the winner of the competition "Vladimir Potanin Scholarship Program" in the nomination "New Master's Program" in 2022, examination at the Bologna Process Center under the MNVO RK showed a high coefficient of attainability of learning outcomes.
