What is Harassment?
Harassment is translated from English as harassment. However, in reality this term is much broader.
Harassment is a violation of personal boundaries and subordination, harassment, humiliation and violation of privacy.
It can manifest itself both physically (unwanted touching, kissing, hugging, pinching) and verbally (vulgar or insulting compliments, ambiguous hints about a sexual relationship, etc.).
Not really. Harassment can also include unwanted calls, vulgar gestures, insults, forced intimacy, stalking, whistling and shouting on the street.
Almost everywhere: at work, on the street, in an establishment, etc. It is not limited to certain places.
Harassment is about power. Therefore, harassment often occurs in situations where one person depends on another: a manager and a subordinate, a teacher and a student, a train conductor and a passenger, or a taxi driver and a passenger.
By the way, due to the increase in harassment at work, the International Labor Organization at the UN adopted a convention against harassment at work.
At the round table, a lot of useful information was given about the possibility of discrimination based on race, religion and gender.
