Round table on the topic "Current state, problems and prospects of teaching foreign students"

South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, Department of Pediatrics-1 organized a round table on the topic "The current state, problems and prospects of teaching foreign students on 03.05.2023 The purpose of the round table: discussion of the current state, problems and promising issues of teaching foreign students, disclosure of the content, making decisions on identified issues, consideration of corrective measures.
Moderator of the conference, Head of educational work of the Department of Pediatrics-1 Toleuova A. E. opened a round table and presented the program. The preface was handed over to the head of the methodological department of the academic part Rasheva B. M. and the head of the department Kemelbekov K. S. PhD, wishing good luck and expressing confidence that the round table will be filled with effective information. During the round table, 2 speakers made thematic reports:
1. Assistant of the Department "Pediatrics-1"Absadyk A. E. - "Current state, problems and prospects of teaching foreign students"
2. Senior lecturer of the Department "Hygiene and epedemiology" Baikonusova L. O. " Experience of the department in teaching and scientific training of foreign students"
The conference was attended by Rasheva B. M. from the academic Department of the Academy, Dean of the International Faculty Tulbasieva A. A., assistant of the Department of Pediatrics-2 Baltabayeva G.T. and senior lecturer of the Department of Hygiene and Epedemiology Baikonusova L.O.
During the round table, the problems of foreign students after their arrival in Kazakhstan, their lateness from classes, cleanliness and academic performance and difficulties encountered in the learning process were discussed.
It was also noted that there is a dynamic development of foreign students in scientific work, that they voluntarily intend to engage in scientific work. It was about how to solve these issues, what kind of assistance is provided.
The Dean of the International Faculty Tulbasieva A.A. made a welcoming speech and noted that this topic is very relevant, work is underway on these issues and brings some of the listed issues to the leadership of the academy, participates in the search for solutions on the management side.
At the end of the round table, it was proposed to hold a seminar on this topic at the academy level.
