Resumption of dual learning after the pandemic

Since 2014, within the framework of cooperation between the Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry of the Academy and Chimpharm JSC, dual training of graduate students of the educational program "Pharmacy" in the discipline "Standardization of medicines and metrology" has been carried out.
The purpose of dual education is to prepare a qualified graduate who already has the required number of professional competencies. Thus, for future specialists, this is a great chance to gain the necessary experience in the profession, and for the employer, the opportunity to recruit staff from among the best students.

After a long pandemic period from 10/20/2022 to 12/14/2022, the V-FK-05-18 training group underwent dual training in the quality control department (QCD) and the parenteral liquid medicines production workshop (PLMPW) of this enterprise.
The leaders of the bases - the head of the QCD, Lunina E. A. and the leading chemist of the PLMPW, Sultanova L. A. - provided all the necessary materials for training and created comfortable conditions for the work of the training group.
Of particular interest to the students was the practical work on quality control and the study of the stability of medicines, as well as the development of regulatory documents - quality specifications for pharmaceutical products.

The students shared their impressions at the final meeting with the teachers of the department. Future graduates confirmed that this teaching method allows you to apply the acquired knowledge and hone practical work skills. Also, they were grateful that they were able to get into a closed pharmaceutical factory and receive guidance from practitioners. The base leaders spoke warmly of the training group and gave them good references about the outcomes of the training.

The head of the department, Professor Ordabayeva S. K. concluded that the dual system of education can significantly strengthen the practical component of the educational process, while maintaining and increasing the level of theoretical training.
