Prominent scientists from far and near abroad discussed neurodegenerative diseases of the nervous system and not only at the site of the SKMA

The first day of the international scientific and practical conference "Actual issues of clinical neurology and psychiatry", organized with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, government agencies, the medical community of Shymkent and Turkestan region, was marked by greetings to the participants. On behalf of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the head of the Department of Medical Science and Innovative Technologies of the Department of Science and Human Resources N.E.Aukenov spoke, thanking prominent scientists for the opportunity to communicate in online and offline formats, strengthen cooperation in the field of science and education, about the prospects for the development of the university in connection with the construction of a multidisciplinary university clinic approved by the Government of Kazakhstan, and he also wished everyone good health and fruitful work.
Then the deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. A. Kurtayev addressed with a welcoming speech, having outlined milestones in the development of the university, the leadership of which set achievable ambitious goals, since the construction of a modern University clinic was launched. He also wished success to the teaching staff and young scientists.
The rector M.M. Rysbekov, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Director of the Institute of the Brain of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution "Scientific Center of Neurology" S.N. Illarioshkin, Professor of the Department of Neurology at the University of Cherrahpasa (Istanbul) Cigdem Ozkara, Chief Neurologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan S.T. Turuspekova also addressed greetings to participants. They also made presentations at the Plenary Session on dementia, the study of neurodegenerative diseases of the nervous system, epilepsy and pregnancy.

Professors - G.A. Duschanova, E.S. Nurguzhaev – particularly focused on modern aspects and approaches of pathogenesis and therapy of diabetic polyneuropathies, treatment of chronic cerebral ischemia.
Then the Takeda Company satellite symposium "Dementia. Where are the application points in neurology and psychiatry?" was hold, where moderator G.S.Kaishibekova gave a speech. Professor of Semey Medical University T.N. Khaibullin spoke about vascular dementia in general medical practice and about the problems of diagnosis and treatment, Zh.A. Zholdasova, director of the Center for the Treatment of Neuroses and Alzheimer's Disease from Almaty spoke about the fact that dementia did not creep up so quickly, you need to lead an active lifestyle, pay more attention to physical culture and sports.

The session "Selected issues of epilepsy" caused a wide response among the participants of the conference, where the speakers were: professor of the Department of Neurology at the University of Cherrahpasha (Istanbul) Oskara Djedem, President of the NGO "Kazakhstan National League against Epilepsy", Director of the Scientific and Clinical Center of Neurology, Epileptology and Rehabilitation, Almaty, L.O.Dairbayeva, director of the clinic "Shashkinclinic", Almaty, Ch.S.Shashkin.
Meanwhile, a symposium on the main aspects of angioneurology, when neurologists and neurosurgeons interact, was held in the interactive hall "Kazhymukan", where E.B.Adilbekov and E.J.Medetov was moderators. Interesting reports were shared by: M.D. Gazi University Faculty of Medicine Dept., Ankara,Turkey - Burak Karaaslan, Professor, Head of the Department of Vascular and Functional Neurosurgery, Astana – E.T. Makhanbetov, MBA, Head of the Center for Neurosurgery of the Central Clinical Hospital of Almaty – M. Berdikhodzhaev, Professor, NJSC "MUK", President of the professional association "Neuron", Karaganda – T.T. Kispaeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Neurology, Psychiatry, rehabilitology and neurosurgery of the SKMA, Shymkent – G.A.Mustapaeva and others.
A teleconference between Kazan and Shymkent was also held at the SKMA site, where patients with pain syndromes became the focus of attention, where E.Z.Yakupov (Kazan), E.S.Nurguzhaev and A.I.Baidauletova (Almaty) shared their research results. Also, reports were made by: M.A. Grigolashvili - Head of the Department of Neurology, Psychiatry and Rehabilitation of the NJSC "MUK", Karaganda; B.R.Abdilmanova - Head of the Neurology Department of the UDP Hospital, Almaty; A.S. Karimova - Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Department of Biomedicine, Biophysics and Neuroscience, Almaty; E.Y.Solovyova - Professor, Head of the Department of Neurology of the Faculty of Additional professional education of the Russian National Research Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov, Moscow.

According to the participants of the international conference, the program was also rich, thanks to the head of the Department at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, Professor Nazira Zharkinbekova. Many of those who presented in the interactive halls of Rixos Khadisha Shymkent were impressed by the results of scientific activities of both Kazakhstan and foreign guests. There has not been such a large-scale neurological in the republic over the past 10 years.
