Production practice of students of Astana medical university on the base of Kaskasu

From June 10 to June 14, 2024, 4th year students of the educational program “Pharmacy” of Astana Medical University completed practical training in the subject “Pharmacognosy” at the Kaskasu base.
Students of the Astana Medical University, during their internship at the Kaskasu base, became acquainted with medicinal plants, endemic plant species and rare species of medicinal plants growing in mountainous areas and meadows.

In addition, the students consolidated their theoretical knowledge of collecting, drying and herbarium of medicinal plants and used them in practice. They became familiar with the cultivated species of medicinal plants and the rules of cultivation on the territory of the Kaskasu base, and prepared herbarium specimens using the installation method.

During their internship, students of Astana Medical University actively participated in competitions held at the Kaskasu base and showed themselves as comprehensively developed students.

Based on the results of the practice, students of the Astana Medical University noted that the “Pharmacognosy” practice conducted at the Kaskasu base is at a high level, and the knowledge and practical skills acquired during the practice have improved.
