Preventing drug abuse, alcoholism, and HIV/AIDS among young people and involving them in sports

On March 31, 2023, the Medical college at JSC "YUKMA" held a meeting on the topic "Prevention of drug addiction, alcoholism and HIV/AIDS among young people and youth involvement in sports". The meeting was attended by a specialist of the KSU "Youth Resource Center" of the Department for Internal Policy and Youth Affairs of Shymkent, Alim Arailym Yerlanovna, a specialist of the center for prevention and control of AIDS, Nazira Zhurgenbayeva, a narcologist at the Mental Health Center at PHV Odaman Meruert, an athlete of the School of Higher Sports skills No. 3. Shymkent two-time champion of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Silver medalist of the World Championship Alzhan Beksultan, athlete of the school of higher sportsmanship No. 3 Shymkent, silver medalist of the World Championship Tastan Asanbay, teachers and students of the medical college took part.

The initiator of this event was the specialist of the KSU "Youth Resource Center " of the Department of Internal Policy and Youth Affairs of the city of Shymkent, Alim Arailym Erlanovna, who noted the purpose of the event.
The specialists who arrived at the meeting spoke in detail about the ways and important signs of HIV prevention/AIDS and drug addiction, alcoholism among the population. Students received answers to topical questions and got acquainted with new data.
Summing up the results of the event, the athlete of the School of higher sportsmanship No. 3 of Shymkent, two-time champion of the Republic of Kazakhstan, silver medalist of the World Championship Alzhan Beksultan urged students to avoid bad habits and play sports.
