PRACTICE ON THE YNTYMAK BASE

In the city of Shymkent, on the Yntymak site with an area of 3 hectares, the faculty of the Department of Pharmacognosy, students of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th courses, undergraduates and doctoral students of the "South Kazakhstan Medical Academy" JSC from April 2023 planted seedlings and seeds of medicinal plants. Seeds of about 20 species of medicinal plants were sown on the site, such as calendula officinalis, peppermint, purple foxglove, chamomile, yarrow, melissa officinalis, lavender angustifolium, sage officinalis, fenugreek hay, orthosiphon stamens, spotted milk thistle, senna acutifolia, large stonecrop, sea poppy, marshmallow, echinacea purpurea, small periwinkle, stramonium.

Yntymak is the base for educational practice in Botany for 1st year students and industrial practice in Pharmacognosy for 3rd year students of the direction "Pharmacy".

The main goal of educational and industrial practice is to consolidate and improve the theoretical knowledge gained by students in the lecture-practical course, the acquisition of skills and practical skills in cultivation, procurement of medicinal plant materials, taking into account the rational use and reproduction of natural resources, mastering the basic methods of cultivation of medicinal plants.

From the first days of practice, students familiarized with the safety rules, the program and schedule of practice.

During the internship, students learned how to cultivate, care for medicinal plants according to the principles of good cultivation practice and the collection of GACP.
