PhD candidate of the Academy completed a traineeship in the UK

Doctoral candidate Saltanat Abdraimova completed her traineeship at the Institute of Neurology at University College London (UCL) on 4 November. UCL is the UK's leading university in research capacity in neurology, psychiatry and psychology, according to the UK Research Excellence Framework 2021. The Institute of Neurology has eight departments dedicated to clinical and genetic research covering all central nervous system diseases.
During the traineeship, Saltanat Abdraimova got acquainted with the equipment and principles of the work of the neurogenetic laboratory, together with Professor Henry Holden, participated in the examination of patients, attended lectures and seminars for doctors, and discussed interesting clinical cases. The doctoral student and Professor Holden also discussed the issues of the dissertation work and outlined further common goals and objectives in scientific activity.
