Olympiad «We are surrounded by microorganisms, we are armed with microorganisms»

On June 3, 2019 at the Department of Microbiology at the South-Kazakhstan Medical Academy, the 2nd stage of the Olympiad «We are surrounded by microorganisms, we are armed with microorganisms» was held on the 2nd course "General Medicine" faculty on «Microbiology and immunology». At this stage of the Olympiad, students demonstrated their creative abilities in the subject. Students explained in advance what the colony produced in the Petri dish meant, and why the picture was chosen.

It should be noted that the 1st stage of the Olympiad was held on May 17 this year, with 19 students participating. On the 29th of May, 10 students, who were admitted to Phase I for Phase II, resumed a microorganism colony on a free theme, in a free theme, in the study and practice laboratory of the Department of Microbiology, through a picture of a pure nutritional environment.

Dean of the Faculty of Medicine - Doltaeva B.Z., Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine - Bergaliyeva R.N., Associate Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Dermatovenerology - Berdaliyeva F.A. and senior lecturer of the Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology - Nuralieva G.N. judges. The Olympiad winners were selected based on the complexity of the colony grown as a picture on the Petri dish and their value.

According to the results of the Olympiad, the student of the group B-JMKA 03-17 Mamytkhan Aidana was awarded the diploma of the first degree, the student of the group B-JMOB 13-17 of the Mirzatillaev Hamidulla - was awarded with the II degree diploma and the student of the group B-JMKA 03-17 of the Orynbek Nazgul was awarded with the III degree diploma. The winners were given the textbook «Clinical microbiology». Head of the Department of Microbiology, Ph.D., Professor Seytkhanova B.T. handed certificates and memorable gifts to all participants of the Olympiad. The jury emphasized that the Olympiad was held at a high level.
