Multilingual education through the eyes of students

April 25, 2019 with the aim of widespread multilingual training and education of a multicultural personality at the department of Kazakh, Russian and Latin languages was held a student scientific-practical conference «Multilingualism as one of the priorities of modern medical education».

The conference was attended by 18 students of the first, second and third courses of the specialties «General Medicine», «Pharmacy», «Technology of pharmaceutical production», «Public Health» and «Dentistry».

The conference was opened by the head of the Kazakh, Russian and Latin languages department L.B. Ibraeva, who noted that polycultural education in the Republic of Kazakhstan today is one of the main directions in the system of higher education.

The reports presented by students in Kazakh, Russian and English addressed not only the implementation of multilingual education, but also the introduction of the Latin alphabet, the problems of translation of medical terminology and others.

By the decision of the chairman and moderators of the conference, RakhishevaDariga– student of the specialty «Technology of pharmaceutical production», was awarded the diploma «For the best report at the student scientific-practical conference», «Multilingualism as one of the priorities of modern medical education», BekenkyzyMarzhan was awarded the diploma. «For a creative approach, colorful design and creativity»awarded the student TemirNurila of «General Medicine» specialty.
