Meeting with specialists-theologians of "Centre for Research of Religion Problems" of the Department of Religious Affairs of Shymkent city

On 8.11.2023 at 12.00-13.00 a.m. meeting was held with specialists of "Centre for Research of Religion Problems" of the Department of Religious Affairs of Shymkent city Serik Bekeulov and Ikram Aitaev on the topic: "Explanation of the right of citizens to freedom of religion, ensuring national security, including stopping the spread of terrorism, racial and religious extremism".
The specialists explained to the students that at present the problem of terrorism and extremism remains one of the most serious for society.

In a secular society, incitement of religious hatred or discord, including that related to violence or calls for violence, as well as the use of any religious practice that causes a threat to the security, life, health, morality or rights and freedoms of citizens (religious extremism) should not be allowed.

Mutilated fates, destroyed families - all this is the result of social ills that want to take deep roots in our society.
In conclusion, the theologians emphasised that the younger generation needs to be patriots of their country, to avoid and resist negative destructive religious controversies that destroy traditional national values and penetrate the consciousness of young people.

Summarising the results of the event, the staff of the department thanked the theological specialists and students who took an active part.
