Meeting on «Prevention of destructive religious trends»

On November 10, 2022 in the large conference hall of SKMA a meeting was held with students on the theme "Prevention of destructive religious movements", organized by the Department of Social Affairs and Youth Policy and MSI "Center for the Study of Religious Issues" of the Department of Religious Affairs of Shymkent. The meeting was attended by a senior lecturer of the SKSPU, religious scholar, member of RATT Besbaev Madi Abzalbekovich, specialist-theologian of MSI "Center for the Study of Religious Affairs" of the Department of Religious Affairs of Shymkent Rahimzhan Abduvahidovich, coordinator of the public fund "Ana ui" Kaldar Tuntekova, the head of the library #10 named after Abay Gulzhan Bektaeva, employees of the youth policy department of SKMA and students.
The event was moderated by Gulzhan Bektaeva, head of Library #10 named after Abay, who noted the purpose of the event.

The guest of the meeting, senior lecturer of SKSPU Religiologist, member of RATT Besbaev Madi Abzalbekovich told the students in detail about the prevention of destructive religious trends and methods of psychological impact of opposing currents. He noted that in social networks it is necessary to monitor the negative flow and get information in the field of religion from a religious scholar, an imam of the mosque, an industry specialist. Kaldar Tuntekova, coordinator of the "Ana ui" Public Foundation, who received another speech, noted that today one of the most urgent issues is domestic violence. Family quarrels are often caused by obsession with bad habits, material shortages, jealousy and discrimination against each other. At the same time, our center provides psychological, moral, and legal assistance to mothers who seek help. First and foremost, it is the protection of the rights of abused women and children.
Summing up the event, a theologian specialist of the MSI "Center for the Study of Religious Problems" of the Department of Religious Affairs of Shymkent urged students to avoid destructive religious controversies and to learn, saying that modernity is in the hands of the educated.
