Meeting on "Kazakhstan without Violence"
On 13 September 2022, a meeting was held with students on the theme "Kazakhstan without Violence", organised by the Department of Social Affairs and Youth Policy and the Institute of Social Accord of the Department of Internal Policy and Youth Affairs of Shymkent city.
The meeting was attended by S.M. Baizakhova, Head of the Shymkent Youth and Young Family Support Centre, and practising psychologist A.P. Tursunbaeva, Major of Police of the Shymkent Police Department for Combating Drug Crimes, Major of Police B. Karbekov, a psychological coaching coach K. Ertaev and staff of the Youth Policy Department of the SKMA, as well as students.
The event was opened by S.M. Baizakhova, Head of Shymkent City Public Association "Youth and Young Family Support Centre "Shanyrak", who noted the purpose of the event. The main goal was to work on prevention and suppression of domestic violence.
A.P. Tursunbaeva, a practicing psychologist, noted that one of the current problems is domestic violence. According to experts, family quarrels are caused by material shortages and discrimination against each other.
At the same time, our centre provides psychological, moral and legal assistance to all those who ask for help. At present, such NGOs and crisis centres are joining forces with police departments.
Summing up the event, the psychological coach, K. Ertaev, urged them to respect their parents, and to study well.
