"LECTURE-PRESS CONFERENCE" AS AN ACTIVE LEARNING METHOD

At the Department of Pharmacognosy hold an open lecture using active teaching methods in the form of a press conference on April 17, 2023 for 3rd year students on the educational program 6B10106 "Pharmacy" for groups: PKA, B-01-20; PKA, B-02-20; PKA, B-03-20 on the discipline "Pharmacognosy" on the topic "Medicinal plants and raw materials containing flavonoids".

The lecture read by Orynbassarova K.K. an associate Professor with the participation of co-lecturer Ibragimov T.S. an acting professor of the Department of Biology and Geography of the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University.

The day before, students were given handouts on the topic of the lecture, on which they prepared their questions of interest. At the beginning of the lecture, the lecturer sorted the questions according to their semantic content. The presentation of the material was built not as an answer to every question asked, but in the form of a coherent disclosure of the topic, during which the corresponding answers were formulated.

The students were especially interested in the distribution and biological role of flavonoids in the plant world, the structural features and classification of flavonoids. Methods for the study of flavonoids, as well as many other issues.
This lecture was held as a press conference, during which the biologist Ibragimov T.S. told the students about the patterns of formation of flavonoids, localization and distribution in plants. role in plant life.
Students' questions of interest about the physicochemical properties of flavonoids, the stages of obtaining flavonoids, qualitative reactions and the quantitative determination of flavonoids, the pharmacological action of flavonoids were explained by the main lecturer Orynbassarova K.K.

An innovative approach was also used during the lecture. In a fairly short period of time, it was possible to touch on all aspects of the topic being studied, and each student was able to find answers to his questions. The lecture-press conference was aimed at attracting students' attention to the main points of the content of the educational material, at the teacher's presentation of the degree of assimilation of the material, systematization of students' knowledge, correction of the chosen system of lecture work in this discipline.
At the end of the lecture, the lecturer summed up the final assessment of the questions as a reflection of the knowledge and interests of students.
