Journey to sacred Turkestan

On 29.04.2023 the Social Affairs and Youth Policy Department of the SKMA organized a trip on the concept "Student expedition to sacred places of Kazakhstan". Active students of the Academy visited Turkestan, the sacred city located on one of the branches of the ancient Silk Road.
The purpose of the concept is to expand the outlook of students, the study of historical and memorable sacred places of Kazakhstan, promoting the formation of national identity, the unified people of Kazakhstan. The sacred places of Kazakhstan are a valuable asset of the country, which should be protected for the present and future generations.
Turkestan is a sacred place. There are many holy places in the region.
It is known that when mentioning Turkestan, the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi comes to mind. However, there are many sacred places in this holy place, besides the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmet Yasawi.
The students thanked the academy leadership for their support in organizing the student geographic journey and the opportunity to learn about the sacred sites.
