International visiting program at Sechenov University

The visit of teachers from the Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry of our Academy took place at the invitation of the Director of the Institute of Pharmacy named by A.P. Nelyubin of the First Moscow State Medical University named by I. M. Sechenov (Sechenov University), professor G.V. Ramenskaya.

Based on the preliminary discussion, an academic mobility program was drawn up according to the calendar and thematic plan of modules in pharmaceutical chemistry and toxicological chemistry.

This program included the participation of teachers in the educational process of the Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry named by A.P. Arzamastsev, as well as conducting master classes and trainings on the features of credit technology of education in the EP “Pharmacy”, “Pharmaceutical Production Technology” in the Republic of Kazakhstan, active teaching methods, etc.

Professor S.K. Ordabayeva conducted lectures on pharmaceutical chemistry for 3-5 year students, which included the analysis of aromatic and heterocyclic drugs.

Laboratory and practical classes included an interview with students on issues of quality control of medicines, qualitative and quantitative analysis of medicinal mixtures, instrumental methods of analysis, discussion of laboratory tasks, preparation of protocols and workbooks. She also took part in the reception of the colloquium, certification of students’ practical skills in the relevant sections.

Associate Professor A.D. Serikbayeva conducted lectures and laboratory practical classes in such sections as chemical-toxicological analysis of “volatile”, “metallic”, “medicinal” poisons, pesticides, examination of alcohol intoxication, the gas chromatography method in the analysis of “volatile” poisons, a certification of practical skills was carried out in sections of toxicological chemistry, etc.

Master classes and trainings were held for teachers on the topic “Experience in using science-oriented training in the discipline “Bioanalytical Chemistry and Toxicology”, active methods “Analysis of a specific situation”, “PBL and CBL methods in teaching pharmaceutical chemistry and toxicological chemistry”, “Certification of students' practical skills using OSPE technologies and other active methods.

Lectures and an introductory tour were held on such topics as “Organization of the educational process under the credit education system in the Republic of Kazakhstan”, “Professional standards for pharmacy in the Republic of Kazakhstan”, “Training of specialists in the EP “Pharmaceutical Production Technology””, as well as on the development of joint educational programs, catalog of elective disciplines, choice of alternative disciplines, individual learning path, etc. Issues of scientific directions of collaborating departments, the possibility of scientific consulting for master's and doctoral dissertations were discussed.

Thus, academic mobility has become another area of cooperation between our educational organizations, an opportunity to exchange experiences and opinions, both in educational and research aspects.
