International Scientific and Practical Conference "Pediatrics and Pharmacy of the XXI century: problems and their solutions"

A group of faculty members, headed by the first vice-rector of SKMA Professor Yessirkepov M. on November 18-19th, 2022 took an active part in the work of the international scientific-practical conference "Pediatrics and Pharmacy of the XXI century: problems and their solutions" at the Samarkand State Medical University.
The conference participants were well-known specialists in the field of pharmacy and pediatrics from Kazakhstan, Russia, the USA, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, India, Pakistan, Tajikistan and other countries, as well as representatives of medical universities in Uzbekistan.

At the grand opening of the international conference, the rector of the Samarkand State Medical University Professor Zhasur Rizayev, the rector of the Tashkent Medical Pediatric Institute Botir Daminov, the rector of the Saratov V.I. Razumovsky State Medical University (RF) Andrei Eremin, Rector of the Kursk State Medical University (RF) Viktor Lazarenko and others. In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of discussing topical issues of pediatrics and pharmacy for the fields of practical medicine, also noted the importance of international cooperation between universities.
At the plenary session, reports were heard on the achievements and prospects for the development of pediatric oncology and hematology, a systematic view of the problem of infant mortality, the development of the pediatric school of Samarkand State Medical University, and the integration of higher pharmaceutical education with the production of medicines.

The main part of the international forum was held in breakout sessions, where presentations were made in the field of topical issues of pharmacy, pharmacology and clinical pharmacology, neonatology, pediatric cardiology and rheumatology, pediatric pulmonology and allergology, gastroenterology and nutrition problems, pediatric nephrology. Particular attention of the participants was attracted by the reports of foreign colleagues and young scientists-researchers.
Scientists from SKMA actively spoke at the breakout sessions of the conference. At the sectional meeting "Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research" the section was chaired by Professor Yessirkepov M., co-chairs: Professor Sagindykova B.A., Associate Professor Orynbassarova K.K., Senior Lecturer Ordabekova A.B.

At the sectional meeting "Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research", a 2nd year doctoral student of the educational program "Pharmacy" from the Department of "Pharmacognosy" Karzhaubayeva A.D. reported online the results of phytochemical studies on the topic "Qualitative analysis of the flavanoid composition of the herb Saussurea Sordida". Master student of the 2nd year of study of the educational program "Pharmacy" from the department of "Pharmaceutical and toxicological chemistry" Bakytkyzy G. made an online presentation on the topic "Study of the chromatographic behavior of santonin isolated from wormwood". Master student of the 2nd year of study of the educational program "Pharmacy ” from the Department of Drug Technology Amandyk A. made a presentation in an online format on the topic “Pharmaceutical equivalence of imodium capsules and its reproduced analogues”.

The chairman of the sectional meeting "Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology" was Ass.Professor Toksanbayeva Zh.S. At the meeting, representatives of the SKMA also made their presentations, so the head of the department of pharmacology, pharmacotherapy and clinical pharmacology Toksanbayeva Zh.S. presented a report on the topic: "Science-based principles for the development of a hepatoprotective collection from medicinal plants of the flora of Kazakhstan", associate professor of the department Ibragimova A.G. "Improving the use of herbal medicine in conditions of health and rehabilitation treatment".

In his welcoming speech on behalf of the SKMA team, Professor Yessirkepov M.M. expressed his deep gratitude to the leadership and staff of the university for the high level of organization of such a large-scale international conference and the warm welcome. On behalf of the staff of the SKMA, a memorable souvenir was presented to the rector of the Samara State Medical University, Professor Zhasur Rizyaev.
The conference was an active platform where topical problems of a scientific and educational nature, regulatory processes in the field of circulation of medicines and healthcare in general, were discussed for well-known and young scientists, representatives of European educational centers, government agencies and the pharmaceutical business of the USA, Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, India, Pakistan, Tajikistan.
