Inter-university discussion platform «Higher medical education»

On March 30, 2023, a planned online seminar on the topic "Analysis of dynamics and forecasting of morbidity of the population with socially significant diseases" was held on the interuniversity discussion platform "Higher Medical Education" of JSC "South Kazakhstan Medical Academy".
This seminar was organized by the Department of "Social Health Insurance and Public Health" under the leadership of G.Zh. Sarsenbayeva.

The guests of this online seminar were:

• "Astana Medical University" – Head of the Department of Public Health and Epidemiology, Musina A.A.;
• Al-Farabi Kazakh National University – Associate Professor of the Department of Public Health and Health, Zhaparova Zh.A.;
• "West Kazakhstan Medical University named after M. Ospanov" - Head of the Department of Public Health and Health, Ermukhanova L.S.;
• Tashkent Medical Academy associate Professor of the Department Matnazarova G.S.;
• KazNMU im. Asfendiyarova – teachers of the Department of Public Health and Health.

The seminar also presented the results of the primary research, which is carried out within the framework of project-oriented training for 2nd year students in the specialty "General Medicine". Student Ziyaeva Lobar made a report on the topic "Analysis of diabetes mellitus for 2012-2022".

Thanks to the interuniversity discussion platform "Higher Medical Education", the online seminar was held in a qualitatively created and methodically thought-out educational environment through discussions and exchange of experience, and effective teaching methods outlined at the seminar gave a new impetus to the work of the teaching staff.
In general, this seminar was held at a high level, positive good feedback was received from participants on the introduction of new teaching methods and innovative ideas.
