INDUSTRIAL PRACTICE - A MEANS OF INCREASING PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES OF A FUTURE SPECIALIST
On June 17, 2022, a methodological conference was held following the results of the practical training of 5-year students of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the SKMA, organized by the Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry.
In her welcoming speech, Professor Ordabayeva S.K. noted that the internship of students is the final part of the educational process and is aimed at consolidating and deepening the knowledge and skills acquired by students in the process of all previous training, as well as mastering the system of professional skills and experience of professional activity according to the received specialty.
The conference program consisted of a discussion of the goals, objectives, the process of practical work performed and the results of internship together with student interns, teaching staff of the academy and practice leaders from industrial institutions participating in the conference remotely using the resources and tools of the Zoom platform.
Students of the 5th year of the Faculty of Pharmacy shared the results of their work practice, who, under the guidance of teachers, prepared reports, presentations and banners.
According to the production practice "Toxicological Chemistry", the bases of practice were:
1. Branch of the State Enterprise "Center for Forensic Examinations" of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Institute of Forensic Examinations (Shymkent, RK);
2. "Center for Hyperbaric Oxygenation named after T.O. Orynbaev" (Shymkent, RK);
3. Center for Mental Health (Shymkent, RK);
An interesting and informative presentation about the practice was presented by 5th year students Tolegen Zh., Abu A., in which they talked about consolidating practical skills in conducting forensic medical examination of chemical and toxicological studies of "volatile", "medicinal", "metallic" poisons, pesticides, caustic alkalis, acids, etc., isolation, identification and quantitative determination of toxicants by chromogenic and microcrystalloscopic reactions, chromatographic and spectral methods.
5th year students Iskoeva A., Abduzairova A. reported on the results of the practical training "Quality control and standardization of medicines", held at the bases:
1. JSC "Khimfarm - Santo Member of Pholpharma Group" (Shymkent, RK);
2. EcoPharm International LLP (Shymkent, RK);
5th year students Kalzhan A., Shakirkhozha Sh., Amangeldi I., Almaty reported on the organization and conduct of practical training in the testing laboratories of the KKLS on the basis of the Republican State Enterprise on the REM "National Center for Expertise of Medicines, Medical Devices and Medical Equipment", Almaty. Karaganda - students Mauzhan Sh., Abilova A., Taraz - students Nakhypbekova D., Tazhen A., Aliakbarov B., on the basis of the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute, Scientific Center for Standardization of Medicines, "DVSIM" (Tashkent, RUz) - students Bibolat Zh., Tursynbek O.
In accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation, the students of the academy underwent an internship "Quality control and standardization of medicines" in a foreign partner university on the basis of the Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry named after A.P. Arzamastsev Institute of Pharmacy named after A.P. Nelyubin Sechenov University (Moscow, RF).
Rustembekova A., Torekhanova K., Zholdasbekova M. shared their impressions of the internship at Sechenov University. The audience was impressed by the presentation and video trailer of these students on the results of the internship at Sechenov University.
The trainees were given the opportunity to conduct stress tests of the stability of medicinal substances by TLC and HPLC-MS / MS on the basis of the laboratory of pharmacokinetics of the Center for Personalized Medicine of the State Budgetary Healthcare Institution “GKB them. I.V. Davydovsky" of the Moscow Health Department, to work on the basis of the testing laboratory of the Center for Pharmaceutical Analytics (Skoltech, Skolkovo), where students conducted a test of comparative dissolution kinetics - an assessment of the bioequivalence of a drug in vitro using UV spectrophotometry.

Arkhipova N.N., coordinator of the department of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan K "NCELS and MI", Karaganda, noted the convenient format of the conference, combining the algorithm of face-to-face and remote interaction between managers and students, the use of digital communication tools, video communications that provide access to presentations, poster reports opportunity to ask questions and participate in the discussion. Arkhipova N.N. emphasized the great importance of practice for students in terms of mastering professional skills in the specialty they receive, discipline, responsibility of trainees, a good level of practical training.
Mavlyanova M.B., Doctor of Pharmacy, Professor, TashFarmi noted the positive experience of interaction between the departments of the same name of SKMA and TashFarmi, started in 2018. The colleague spoke about the great opportunities of the scientific center for standardization of medicines "DVSIM" for internships, noted the good level of practical skills of student interns in the field of pharmaceutical analysis of medicines, expressed a wish for further expansion of cooperation.
Daurbayeva Kh.A., Head of the Department of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan "NTSELS and MI", Taraz, thanked for organizing the conference in an accessible, interesting format, noted the good communication skills of students, interest in the topics and issues discussed, professional skills in drug quality control.
Melnikov E.S., Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Associate Professor of Sechenov University, noted the high level of mutually beneficial cooperation between universities, good theoretical and practical skills of students working on modern equipment.
In accordance with the work program and the schedule of the production practice, the trainees performed work in the field of pharmaceutical analysis of medicines. Students got acquainted with the regulatory documentation governing the quality control of medicines in the Republic of Kazakhstan, performed a complete pharmacopoeial analysis of substances, tablets, capsules, injection solutions, consolidated the skills of conducting chemical, physical and physico-chemical methods of analysis.
During the internship, students demonstrated their theoretical knowledge and consolidated their practical skills by performing a complete physical, chemical and physico-chemical analysis of medicines using high-tech equipment.
The students completed the internship program in full, and after returning to their native universities, they shared their impressions of the practice, the acquired skills, noted the high level of organization and conduct of the practice, as well as the impressive equipment and advanced equipment of the laboratories of the Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry, the possibility of conducting a significant number laboratory work.
Professor Ordabayeva S.K. summed up the results of the conference and thanked all those present - student trainees, employers, teachers and employees for their active participation.
