Implementation of activities under the World Bank project

In the last week of September of the new academic year, a group of teachers from the Abu ali ibni Sino Tajik State Medical University (TSMU) visited the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy (SKMA) within the framework of the World Bank project "Innovative development of pharmaceutical education in the Republic of Tajikistan".
The World Bank project between SKMA and TSMU has been implemented since April 2020, where SKMA performs a consulting role. A number of events, such as seminars on the development of an educational program and the development of a competency model for a graduate in the specialty "Pharmacy", were implemented online.
This is the first study visit for TSMU employees, as well as the organization of a training course in the field of Industrial Pharmacy.

In order to fulfill the visit program at the specialized departments of the Faculty of Pharmacy, an acquaintance with the teams of departments, the infrastructure of the academy, with the organization of the educational process, with the educational-methodical and research activities of the teaching staff of the SKMA was held, consultation was provided on the development of modular educational (educational) programs. A round table was organized to discuss learning outcomes:
- Discussed the results of familiarization and training in the discipline "Industrial Pharmacy" (exchange of views, suggestions, etc.).
The delegation was provided with presentations on the history of the department, educational programs for college, bachelor's, master's and doctoral studies. Demonstrated basic and elective subjects, as well as subjects recommended by the university. Shows the organization of industrial practices in the disciplines: "Fundamentals of the organization of pharmaceutical activities" (3 course) and "Management and economics of pharmacy" (4 course).

Colleagues from TSMU attended a practical lesson on the topic "Physicochemical Methods in Pharmacy": the analysis of drugs by UV spectrophotometry, IR spectroscopy, high performance liquid chromatography.

A cultural program was organized for guests from Tajikistan in Shymkent and Turkestan.
