“Heroism is the quality of people- courage is the quality of djigit!”

On February 8, 2016 near the Memorial of Glory in Abay park there was held a memorial event dedicated to the 15th anniversary of Kazakhstan battalion disengagement keeping an honorable guard of the CIS borders in Tajik-Afghan region and to the memory of dead soldiers.

The event was held according to the Government Decree of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Youth policy sector and military department, teachers of the discipline “Basics of life safety” participated in this event organized by the Union of veterans of Afghan war and all local wars. 

The event began with a minute of silence in memory of dead soldiers, and then it was fired in the air. The participants interviewed the mother of Afghan war victim, then Ulzhan Akmoldakyzy Zhaksylykkelini, a teacher of the department of “Basics of life safety”, gave an interview to journalists.

Teachers and activists of SKSPhA in military uniform laid flowers to the monument. This event held at a high level will be present in people’s recollection.
