"FUTURE PHARMACIST - 2022" - THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIAD, WHICH DEDICATED TO THE 85TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE TASHKENT PHARMACEUTICAL INSTITUTE

On November 21, 2022, via Zoom platform, the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute hosted the 1st International Student Subject Olympiad "Future Pharmacist - 2022" on the discipline "Pharmacognosy", dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute for 4th year students of the educational program "Pharmacy".

About 20 students from leading universities of Russia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan took part in the I International Olympiad on Pharmacognosy, organized by the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute.

4th year students of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy of faculty of "Pharmacy" Rakhmanova Dilnoza from the group В-PO-04-19, Alibekova Adina from the group B-PKB-01-19 under the guidance of the head of the department of Pharmacognosy, ass.professor Orynbassarova K., and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Pharmacognosy Ibragimova Z. took part in the international Olympiad.
Jury created to evaluate the answers of the participants, which included experts, professors and teachers from foreign countries.
The International Olympiad consisted of 2 stages: test tasks and situational tasks.

The Olympiad surprised with a creative, non-standard approach to holding the stages of the competition. Questions were asked that required not only knowledge of the subject of Pharmacognosy, but also logical thinking, solving situational problems. During the general Olympiad, the participants were asked questions on determining the names and herbarium samples of medicinal plant materials, determining the anatomical and morphological features of certain types of medicinal plant materials and the biologically active substances contained in them.

According to the results of the Olympiad Rakhmanova Dilnoza and Alibekova Adina took 3rd place. Our students showed good theoretical knowledge, the necessary practical skills and the will to win. We welcome the desire of our students for knowledge and professional competence as a guarantee of personal professional victories and improving the level of education in general!
