First Central Asian Conference on Parkinson's disease and movement abnormalities

Today in Shymkent began an important international forum - the First Central Asian Conference on Parkinson's disease and movement abnormalities. 

The official motto of the conference: "Parkinson's disease is not a verdict!"

The conference was organized by the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, the Department of Health of Turkestan Oblast, the Public Association "Movement abnormalities Society-Eurasia", NGO "League of Neuroscientists of Kazakhstan". 

Speakers of the conference are well-known scientists in the field of neurology, neurogenetics  EduardoTolosa is Professor of neurology, Director of Parkinson's disease Research Program at the Institute of Biomedical Research, University of Barcelona, Spain; Senior Consultant of Parkinson's Department  and movement abnormalities  at the University Clinic of Barcelona, Henry Houlden- Professor of neurology and neurogenetics, Head of  neurogenetics laboratory Institute of Neurology University College of London, United Kingdom, Feridun Acar - Professor of Neurosurgery, Head of Department of neurosurgery Pamukkale University, Denizli, Turkey, Selcuk Gocmen - Associate Professor of neurosurgery, Medical Center Anadolu Hospital, Istanbul, Turkey.

With a word of salutation, the participants of the conference were addressed by the head of the Department of Health of the Turkestan Region, Egizbaev M.K. and Rector of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, Professor Rysbekov M.M.

A great contribution to the organization of this forum was made by the Department of neurology, psychiatry and psychology of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, headed by the Head of the department Zharkinbekova N.A. 

Within the framework of the Conference, it is planned to hold a Round table in SKMA, signing memorandums on further cooperation between foreign universities with the aim of developing the educational and scientific potential of SKMA.
