Educational and methodical conference «World week of proper use of antibiotics»

Antibiotic resistance is one of the biggest threats to global health today. It is rising to dangerously high levels in all parts of the world, negatively affecting our ability to treat infectious diseases and nullifying many advances in health and medicine.

On November 15, 2019 at the Department of Infectious Diseases and Dermatovenereology, an interdepartmental training and methodological conference was held dedicated to the World Week for the Proper Use of Antibiotics.

The conference participants were residents of 1-2 year infectious diseases, interns of the Department of General Medical Practice-1, and teaching staff of the named departments.

Conference participants made presentations that reveal the problems, trends of the misuse of antibacterial drugs, their uncontrolled availability in the treatment of various diseases among the population, which subsequently leads to antibiotic resistance.

Residents presented research work on this issue, developed memos for medical workers and patients.

The 1st year resident infectious disease specialist of the 05-19 group of Halmuratova Pakiza showed a video - an interview with YuKMA students about the principles of rational antibiotic therapy.

At the end of the conference, the participants were awarded with certificates.
