Development of the system of nursing specialists’training

The work on the implementation of Highway Route Map for modernization of nursing education system of Kazakhstan for the 2016-2019 years has already begun, it was approved by the Minister of Health and Social Development of Kazakhstan. Strategic partner for reform implementation in nursing education is Federation of the Universities of Applied Sciences of Finland (FUAS) - JAMK and LAMK. Aizat Ashimkhanovna Seydakhmetova, the Head of the Department of Nursing with the course of anesthesiology and resuscitation of SKSPhA is a member of National Commission on the development of the system of nursing specialists’ training.

On February 18, 2016 there was held a preliminary meeting of Expert commission on the evaluation of medical colleges in the framework of Highway Route Map for modernization of nursing with the participation of Finnish experts; it was established the membership of Expert commission, the forms of evaluation and confidentiality of evaluation process and responsibility for the preparation to the final meeting were discussed.

On March 9-11, 2016 the Expert committee organized a three-day seminar to reach a consensus on the evaluation of every college. The expert team evaluated colleges according to the areas. The goal of medical colleges’ evaluation: quality evaluation to ensure training of the major “Nursing” and the possibility to provide training in this specialty in higher education in order to be recognized as a top nursing schools. After the seminar, all members of the Expert committee were given certificates.
