«CyberPatient» simulator platform: an innovative approach to medical training

In medical practice, teaching methods such as textbooks and lectures may be limited in their effectiveness. In these cases, with the advent of new technologies, innovative methods are being developed, one of which is the simulator platform «CyberPatient» - based on deepening the professional activity of a student in the field of medicine.
On June 12-13, a meeting was organized under the leadership of the Department of Distance Educational Technologies with the founder of the online simulator, with the CEO and President of the International Health Organization LTD, Dr. Karim Kayumiy.
During the meeting, the heads of the teaching staff discussed topical issues about the role of virtual simulation in education, Karim Kayumi also conducted explanatory work on the online simulator «CyberPatient», gave a lecture on «The Role of Virtual Simulation in Competence-Based Education».

During the visit, further cooperation was established on the use of the online simulator «CyberPatient». Familiarization with the digital platform «CyberPatient» and introduction into the educational process will be a new and important addition to the existing system of medical education.
This online tool allows students to access information on a specific disease in its entirety. The model fills a gap in medical education by enabling the student to follow the patient from initial admission to discharge. Cases with an increasing degree of complexity are available, so that students can go back to cases they considered at an earlier stage of their studies and explore more complex aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of this particular disease. «CyberPatient»is designed to simulate the interaction of a doctor and a patient as accurately as possible
«CyberPatient» is a virtual teaching hospital designed to support students, build trust and improve the development of clinical skills.
